Assigning images to a Product Selector Image List Control

Product Selector's Image List control allows you to display an image of your choice as the selection options when viewing a Product Selector.

At a Glance

  1. Upload your images using the File Manager
  2. Create a Product Custom Field
  3. Populate the Product Custom Field with paths to your images
  4. Assign the Product Custom Field as an Image List to your Product Selector

Upload Your Images

  1. In the Administration Panel, click the File Manager button.
  2. Select your destination folder.
  3. Select Upload Files.
  4. Drag and Drop your files into the dialog or use Select Files to choose the files to upload.
The default image upload path is https://<yourwebsiteaddress>/images/

Create a Product Custom Field

  1. In the Administration Panel, click Index.
  2. Go to Products > Custom Fields.
  3. At the bottom, select New.
  4. In the Name field enter 'selector-thumbnails'.
  5. In the Description field enter "Images for use in product selector image list".
  6. In the Type drop-down select "Text Box".
  7. In the Language Type drop-down select "Agnostic".
  8. Select Save.

Import Your Data

The data value is the path to the image. For example, if you upload "photo.jpg" to the default location, enter "images/photo.jpg" to the custom field.

Using the Web Interface

  1. Select Manage custom field data.
  2. Select New.
  3. In Part Number enter your part number.
  4. In Value enter the path to your image.
  5. Select Save.

Using Import/Export

  1. Select Manage custom field data.
  2. Select Export to download the existing data or an empty template
  3. Enter your data into the CSV
  4. Select Import
  5. Select your file
  6. Select Open

Add to Product Selector

  1. In the Administration Panel, click Index.
  2. Go to Product Selector > Listing
  3. Edit the Product Selector you're working on
  4. Go to Manage Custom Fields
  5. In Search product custom fields enter selector-thumbnails
  6. In the Display As drop down select Image List
  7. Click +
