Add padding to shipping service rates

Add or discount shipping rates by adding a padding rule (for services like UPS, Canada Post, etc.) in the Administration panel by going to Index > Shipping > Service Settings.

Create a new Padding Rule

  1. On the Services page, Click the Edit button for the Service you want to change, for example UPS Standard:
  2. Click Assign Padding Rules →
  3. On the bottom of the screen, click New to create a rule
    1. Set a Condition. 
    2. Padding Type = % or $
    3. Set Padding Amount. NOTE: Enter a negative amount for discount.
  4. Click the blue Save button on the bottom of the screen to finish.
Remember to test your changes on the site after you are done.
