Creating UPS OAuth Credentials

UPS uses OAuth credentials for the shipping API connection. These instructions will allow you to create the Client ID and Client Secret needed to connect your website to UPS with our shipping integration.
Please do not send your Account Number, Client ID and Client Secret through email unless using a secure email platform. We'll arrange to collect the credentials from you.
  1. Go to https://www.ups.com
  2. Log in to your UPS account
  3. Go to https://developer.ups.com/
  4. Click Create an Application then Add Apps
  5. At "Which of these scenarios best describes you" select:
    1. I need API credentials because: I want to integrate UPS technology into my business
    2. Choose an account to associate with these credentials: Select your shipping account
    3. Check the "I agree..." prompt
  6. Click Next
  7. Follow the prompts to create an app and generate your Client Secret, and Client ID
  8. Add "Rating" product to the app
Your UPS account number, Client ID and Client Secret will be needed for Client Services to finish configuring the connection between your website and UPS. We will arrange to collect these credentials from you securely.
